Research Programs: Exploring Knowledge and Innovation

Research has been a crucial part of my academic journey, allowing me to delve into topics that impact society deeply. My recent work investigates how social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic may influence dementia onset across different socio-economic groups. Through this research, I’ve developed critical insights into the complex interplay between mental health, social factors, and economic conditions.

Research Paper

In my research paper titled ‘In What Ways Has Social Isolation During the COVID-19 Pandemic Influenced the Onset of Dementia in People from Different Socio-Economic Backgrounds,’ I explored the effects of prolonged social isolation on dementia risk.

The study investigates how socio-economic status influences the psychological and cognitive impacts of isolation, aiming to shed light on the disparities in health outcomes. Through this research, I gained valuable insights into the ways social conditions affect mental health, especially among vulnerable populations.

Interview and Research Recordings

To enrich my research, I conducted interviews with individuals from various backgrounds, gathering personal accounts of the impacts of social isolation.

These recordings capture the voices and stories of those affected, adding a human perspective to the data and underscoring the nuanced ways isolation influences mental health.
